Regen is great in the winter, too.

8th Gen is the superior Camry. The XSE is a laughing stock with a measly 232 HP. The 9th gen styling is awful. Whatever that cloth in the interior is...nope. I'll keep my '23 V6 till the wheels fall off.

Seats are very uncomfortable in LE 2025 Camry, not good for short and awful for long drives.

I have a question my son has a 2023 Camry SE and I have a 2022 Legacy Premium, when I sit in his car in the passenger side and the rear seat the seats are so low the I have difficulty getting in and out of it without grabbing the handles above the window and on my Legacy I don't have that issue at all, is that the same situation for the 2025 Camry if so I won't consider a Camry and just keep my Legacy for now.

I had a 1987 I think, black 560 SEL with sienna brown color interior, reclining back seats with 2 different heating modes! And heated front seats, with a little leg rest on the floor in the back. Won’t even get started on the comfort and reliability. Now I got a 1995 e320 sedan gold with beige interior much simpler , med size and better gas mileage which I actually like even better… Both were reliable like a German tank. But I would never buy Mercedes or any car above 2000 because wiring and electronic issues are constant on every modern car. I like it when my car is mostly made from gears and screws lol, and newer cars look like they’re dead with no soul lol.

Keep it simple. Just buy a Toyota.

I have a Tesla model S and I have zero issue with regen and neither do my passengers. If you have trouble with regen, you haven’t figured out regen.

As usual, the segment's champion Toyota Camry continues to improve. Less complicated (not what this "reviewer" claims, adding the height bs), with physical buttons etc. Better mpg (and amazing overall TCO = Total Cost of Ownership), excellent accelerations (due to hybrid battery), nice and practical design. And didn't go the BEV scam way 😉

My only experience with the Camry is sitting in the last generation and found it to low to the ground, I felt the seat bottom gave me the feeling I was way to low. A Sedan is not for me, give me an SUV/CUV anytime but not a sedan. Even entry and exiting the Sedan is not for me. Yes it is a beautiful vehicle and I give Toyota High praise for putting more hybrids on the road, now if the other companies could follow suit !!

Ive rented camry’s the last two years, and they’re annoyingly numb to drive? Is this new car not numb?? I rented a chevy malibu and it was refreshingly more normal to drive. More responsive steering and suspension feel in the chevy.

Goodness, this discussion makes it sound like you need at least a PhD just to open the door to get into a hybrid. Actually I find my hybrid simpler to drive and maintain than any ICE car I have ever owned. I have had only one, well designed, hybrid so it may not be representative of some others. Mine is a BMW 530e which I purchased new in 2018, so almost 6 years at this point. To date I have averaged 42 mpg in this fairly large luxury AWD car while my wife's BMW 4 cyl model has averaged 27 mpg in her significantly smaller car. Aside from the difference in mpg, she doesn't get any break from the electric company for the fuel she uses while I get a substantial rebate from them for charging off peak (I just plug it in and the car and electric company communicate automatically via WiFi for charging it in the middle of the night during the off-peak hours do the rest.) Does that sound difficult?

From what I've seen with other reviews is that Camry is the perfect commuter/family sedan for the mass market. Although the The Fast Lane test indicate that the E-AWD system is next to useless.

I am very interested to know if the wind noise problem with the 2024 and earlier Camry has been fixed. You talk about wind noise at about the 6:25 mark. But it is UNCLEAR if you are referring to the XLE you are driving, or the SE you drove over the weekend.

Your suggestions are all on my no fly list. I have genetic liver issues and it doesn't remove toxins. Therefore my skin breaks out if you look at me cross-eyed. I know have the problem of my medication making my sweat acrid. I can't use anything with perfumes, bleach, lysol antibacterial, ammonia or anything with harsh surfactants. I'm left with, Tide free Downey free, vinegar, baking soda, and alcohol.(outside the body only) none of it is removing the smell. I'm willing to sacrifice a 1" square of my hide for a week or so to test something that hasn't already done me wrong if it will get ride of the funk in my sweaters.

Its complicated for people with low class cars, Mercedes just has a little square TouchPad (much smaller than this) on the wheel with 3 sections on the cluster you can change and is really intuitive

I put $100 down 3 years ago to get on a ordering list for the buzz. I just got call 2 days ago from the local VW dealer. They are allowed to order 4 that will be made in Germany for the us market to be delivered in November. He asked what color I wanted. He didn’t have all the spec details but claimed it was a 91 kWh battery AWD. I will have the option once it gets closer to buy it. We’ll see if I get it this year.
